Power Skating

The Clarke & Co Academy will now provide a weekly Power Skating throughout our 2026-27 Academy season. This opportunity will be open for last year’s U10s to U18s players.

This will add another dimension to our Academy programme and allow junior ice hockey players developing in the UK a regular opportunity to improve an area of the game which is often overlooked here in the UK.

Our Power skating sessions will commence in September 2025 and will run parallel to our on Ice Academy Programme, taking place on a freshly cut sheet of ice during the first 30 minutes of our on Ice Academy session 19:45 – 20:15 each week.

Founder of Clarke & Co Hockey David Clarke said “We have delivered an annual Power Skating Clinic for several years now via our off-season Hockey Clinic schedule that always has overwhelming interest. Unfortunately, this always leads to us having long waiting list, that we struggle to appease during the summer months, so I feel by providing similar tuition on a weekly basis which can easily be implemented into our Academy programme is a great way of impacting a neglected area of the game by delivering skating & stride development on a weekly basis”

This new Power skating offering will allow players to visit the National Ice Centre in Nottingham on a weekly basis and gain high-end skating development, overseen by leading coaches and instructors to develop their skating stride; These sessions will be open to last year’s U10s, U12s, U14s, U16s & U18s players.
